Superior Self-Catering Accommodation in Aviemore
We aim to ensure that you really enjoy your stay, thus Avonglen has been designed to ensure that you really feel at home. We pride ourselves in providing our guests with a high standard of accommodation and consider your comfort and safety of paramount importance. The house is therefore fitted with standard safety features including a wireless alarm system, first aid kit, carbon monoxide & smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.
Newly built in 2006 Avonglen is furnished to a high specification throughout, including solid wood floors in the living room, hallway and dining room and is decorated with art work by local & scottish artists.
Avonglen has a large enclosed private garden to the rear, which is ideal for children and summer dining, using our top of the range Weber gas BBQ.
All bedrooms have LCD TVS with integral DVD players, fitted wardrobes, hairdryers and radio alarm clocks.
Avonglen was freshly redecorated for 2011 including a refurbished kitchen and improved decor in the bathrooms. We've also installed a 42 inch HDTV to go along with our full Sky package which includes Movies, Sports, ESPN and High Definition.
Avonglen offers WiFi internet access via either your own or Avonglen's Laptop. A new laptop, wireless printer and dedicated computing desk are provided upstairs, it is possible to use the laptop throughout the house and rear garden (Extra charge).
Avonglen has 4 mountain bikes available for hire at just £25 per bike per week, this is the cheapest rental in the valley.

The layout of Avonglen comprises as follows:
- Master bedroom with Super King-size Italian Beech Bed with hand made mattress. Ensuite toilet, shower room with heated towel rail and NEW for 2012 a 22inch LCD TV and DVD player.
- Double bedroom with king size bed, 19in LCD TV with integral DVD player. (A cot is also available)
- A selection of DVD's and books are available.
- Family bathroom with shower, bath & heated towel rail is ideal for a relaxing soak with complimentary radox or a hot powerful shower.
- 1 twin bedroom with NEW for 2012 a 22inch LCD TV with integral DVD player.
- Our kitchen is fully equipped with all modern top of the range stainless steel appliances and utensils which should satisfy the Jamie Oliver's.
- The integral oven unit hosts a separate lower and top oven with grill, with a 4 ring gas hob housed separately.
- The fridge and freezer are both large enough to fit a weekly family shop, not forgetting the ice for that G & T.
- There is also a toaster, microwave, blender, electric steamer and cafetiere. Don't worry we have remembered the tea lovers as well.
- Complimentary condiments, spices, tea and coffee are available.
- Our dining room contains a solid oak dining table with six leather dining chairs. A high chair & booster seat are also available.
- Our cosy living room is an ideal place to retreat should the weather misbehave. Simply curl up in front of the open fire (available 1 Nov to 31 March) and watch a DVD from the selection on offer, or relax with a book. The seating arrangement consists of 2 & 3 seater chocolate brown leather settees & tub leather chair.
- Our entertainment system should satisfy both music and film lovers with 42in HDTV with DVD recorder, Sky TV (full package including Sky Sports and Movies, ESPN for live football and HD) & a Sony sound system.
- Wireless Internet Access. Use of Avonglen's laptop (extra charge).
- Variety of books, DVD's and CD's & maps of the surrounding area.
- Avonglen has a large developed garden at the rear of the house for the enjoyment of our guests.
- Fully enclosed by a 6ft fence and lockable gate, the garden offers privacy as well as security for small children.
